What a special day we had yesterday.... Our Annual Alumni Day added what is hoped to be a yearly tradition of an ALUMNI DAY GAME immediately prior to a regular season game,
forming a double header.
We had a tremendous turnout with players ranging from the original season of 1968 -
We have to make special notice of BERT STUBBS who strapped on the pads to play half of the game at age 70, and WAYNE CHALKLEY, the oldest player at the ripe young age of 75.
I am proud to report that there were no injuries sustained in
Team White Victory over Team Red 11 -
A special thank you to WAYNE CHALKLEY, BERT STUBBS, and executive member SETH ALLEN, our ALUMNI DAY COMMITTE members for a GREAT DAY, and all 35 NORWICH JR. "C" MERCHANTS ALUMNI MEMBERS who made this a very special day.
